About VIVO

Support should feel personal, because it is.

VIVO Integrated Support was built around a simple idea: people deserve consistent disability support from someone who takes the time to understand them, their goals and the life they're trying to build.

What VIVO Stands ForLive. Thrive. Achieve. Together.

Not as a slogan that sits on a logo, but as the standard behind how we want support to feel: practical, respectful, individual and connected to what matters to the person.

Our Story

VIVO started from the frontline.

VIVO was founded by Cade McMillan after more than three years working directly in disability support, alongside leadership experience involving staff supervision, rostering and day-to-day operations.

That experience shaped a clear view of what matters in direct support: consistency, communication, understanding the individual and being honest about what a provider can genuinely deliver.

VIVO was created to build on those principles, starting locally in Bundaberg and Wide Bay, staying close to the people receiving support, and growing carefully rather than losing the personal connection that made the service worth building in the first place.

“The goal was never to build a service where people become a name on a roster.”

VIVO is being built around knowing the person, understanding what good support looks like for them and keeping responsibility for the quality of that support close to the people delivering it.

Why VIVO Exists

Better support starts with the basics being done properly.

We don't believe good disability support needs to be complicated. But the fundamentals matter.

01
Know the person

Support should be shaped around individual routines, communication, preferences, strengths and goals, not just a service category.

02
Build consistency

Trust and familiarity take time. Where possible, VIVO prioritises support relationships that can develop rather than constant unnecessary change.

03
Communicate properly

Participants, families and professionals shouldn't have to chase basic information or wonder whether important context has been understood.

04
Be honest about capability

If VIVO isn't the right provider for a person's needs, we'd rather say that at intake than accept support we shouldn't.

Cade McMillan

VIVO Integrated Support · Bundaberg & Wide Bay

Founder-Led

Experience in the support, not just the business.

Cade's background combines hands-on disability support with leadership and operational experience. His direct-support experience includes working alongside people with psychosocial disability, mental-health related needs and more complex support situations.

VIVO is currently founder-led, which means Cade remains directly involved in intake, professional communication and support delivery. As VIVO grows, the intention is to add workers carefully while maintaining the consistency, accountability and participant fit the service is being built around.

Our Values

What should stay true as VIVO grows.

Values only matter if they affect how decisions are made. These are the principles we want participants and professionals to recognise in the way VIVO operates.

01

Person First

Understand the individual before deciding what support should look like.

02

Consistency

Build support relationships with enough stability for trust, understanding and progress to develop.

03

Respect

Protect choice, dignity, privacy and the person's right to have a genuine say in their support.

04

Accountability

Communicate clearly, document appropriately and take responsibility for the support we agree to provide.

Growing Responsibly

Small by design. Growing with purpose.

VIVO is building its participant base before building a large workforce around it. Right now, Cade personally delivers support. As demand grows, additional workers can be introduced where there is a genuine need and a suitable match.

The aim isn't to stay a one-person service forever. It's to make sure growth doesn't come at the expense of consistency, participant fit or accountability.

01Start with the participant

Understand the support before deciding what staffing is appropriate.

02Match carefully

Future workers should be selected around capability, reliability and fit, not simply who is available.

03Keep communication clear

Growth shouldn't create unnecessary layers between participants, professionals and the people responsible for support.

04Protect the standard

The principles VIVO starts with should remain visible as the organisation becomes larger.

The VIVO Approach

Support connected to everyday life.

VIVO's role is practical disability support. We work with the person and, where appropriate, alongside their wider support network.

One-to-one support

Individual support shaped around the person's needs, routines and goals.

Independence building

Support participation and capability rather than automatically taking over everyday tasks.

Community participation

Help people get out, stay connected and participate in activities that matter to them.

Professional collaboration

With relevant consent, work alongside Support Coordinators, Recovery Coaches, BSPs and allied health within VIVO's role.

Clear service boundaries

Don't present direct support as clinical treatment, Specialist Behaviour Support or another professional service it isn't.

Honest intake

Consider the actual person, requested support, capability and capacity before saying yes.

Our Commitment

We'd rather be the right provider for fewer people than the wrong provider for everyone.

VIVO isn't trying to claim every type of disability support. The service is being built around areas we can deliver well and relationships we can support responsibly.

If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.

That applies whether you're a participant, family member, Support Coordinator or another professional. An honest answer at the beginning is better than an unsuitable service after support has started.
